Our founder, Burak initiated this business idea mostly on the encouragement of his colleagues after they tried the desserts he baked.
He decided to go on the pistachio business because his hometown Gaziantep is famous with its unique pistachios and baklava. He wanted people in Poland should have those golden green nuts and desserts made by.
After the first trials with friends, Burak posted on social media for expats living in Krakow and people reacted way better than his expectations. They even ordered for their loved ones.
The appreciation and the demand enlightened Burak about the business model; „Tasty Gift Boxes”.
Thanks to incredible support from the clients, Pistachio Box has grown significantly in a kind of short time and has become a brand already. With such high demand, Burak resigned from his corporationjob and decided to move to a stationary store/production place.
In 2024, the business got new investment from three new business partners. They set up a new company, Kapadokya Sp. Z.o.o. for wholesale production. We started to produce baklava and other desserts in a 500 square meters production hall in Skawina.
Our distribution expanded to entire Europe after wholesale production. The investment is also used for re-branding and packaging options.
A new stationary location is open at Stary Kleparz, Krakow. Our new model is take away pistachio shop and it seems promising already.
